Eligibility:
Along with a completed scholarship application form the application should include the information and documentation addressing the following criteria-
-Athletes must be identified in their National Sport Organisations High performance or development programme.
-Athletes must be able to prove that in the 2012/2013 season they will compete at the highest level events in their sport as per the NZOC selection criteria (i.e. will meet criteria to be listed on the NZOC Long List at the end of October) .
Scholarship Open for International Students: No
Scholarship Description: Through the New Zealand Olympic Committee, the International Olympic Committee will be selecting athletes from individual sports on the Sochi 2014 programme nominated by
the NZOC to receive an IOC Solidarity Scholarship.
1. The overriding purpose of the scholarships is to increase the competitive level of the games at the games.
2. These grants are to support up to 10 winter sport athletes from across all individual sport disciplines.
3. Snow and Ice National Sport Organisations may nominate individual athletes who meet the criteria and are able to meet the intent and overriding objectives of the scholarships.
